# Product contracts (canonical)

One short contract per registry product. **Purpose:** stop drift during Venture Platform modernization (Kit / Shell / LLM / auth / deploy).

| Rule | Detail |

| Location | `docs/products/contracts/<registry-id>.md` |
| Source of truth order | **Code + `products/registry.yaml`** → contract → narrative README |
| When to update | Any change to `platform:` badges, auth pattern, shell, LLM adapter, or deploy units |
| Gate | `scripts/validate-product-contracts.sh` (also in fast `make test`) |
